After much discussion, prayer, and consultation with local public health officials, the decision has been made to cancel the Nativity Parish Day which had been scheduled for August 15, 2020. This Parish Day was our proposal to take the place of the annual Augustravaganza Festival this year, but given the continuing rise in COVID-19 cases in our community and the increasing restrictions mandated by the local public health department, we feel that it is in the best interest of the common good to cancel the in-person events we had planned for the Nativity Parish Day.
We will still hold the annual Nativity Raffle drawing on August 15 (sell those tickets!), and t-shirts will be available for purchase in the coming weeks – these are both ways you can continue to support our parish community. All funds raised from the raffle and t-shirt sales will benefit
The Future Is Now Capital Campaign. If you have not yet received your raffle tickets, they should be coming in the mail soon.
For those who typically come to Augustravaganza or who had been planning on participating in the Parish Day, we also humbly ask you to consider donating the money you would have spent that day to our Capital Campaign to help continue to provide funds for our beautifully renovated and expanded church building. You can make an online donation by putting Festival or Parish Day in the comments section at
www.NativityIndy.org/give, or checks can be mailed to the parish office.
We are certainly disappointed that we are not able to come together for these traditional August days of fun, food, and fellowship, but we believe that this is the right decision at this time for the health and safety of all. And we look forward to celebrating together for Augustravaganza 2021!
