"The catechumenate is to be 'a formation in the whole Christian life...during which the disciples will be joined to Christ their teacher.'"
Catechism of the Catholic Church 1248
ARE YOU SOMEONE OR DO YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO…
Nativity offers an opportunity to come together in a small group to learn more about our faith. Sessions will be held on Tuesday evenings at 7 pm beginning September 1, 2020 and focus on the teachings and experience of the Church and prepare individuals to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist during the Easter season. You are welcome to participate in the process with your questions, your insights and your faith story in a warm, accepting setting. For more information please contact our Coordinator of Evangelization and Discipleship at bwhite@nativityindy.org or fill out the form below.
Adults who have been baptized in another Christian faith are also welcome to join those in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults; however, the formation of those who have been baptized will be invited into rites and celebrations different yet similar to the rites, celebrations and preparation of our unbaptized adults. Contact our Coordinator of Evangelization and Discipleship to inquire about making a profession of faith and completing your initiation.
For adults who have already been baptized in the Catholic Church and are seeking to complete their initiation through the sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation, RCIA is not necessary. To best determine the route you should take to fully enter into the life of the Church, please contact our Coordinator of Evangelization and Discipleship (317) 359-6075 or bwhite@nativityindy.org
