"The purpose of the sacraments is to sanctify men, to build up the Body of Christ, and finally, to give worship to God."
Catechism of the Catholic Church 1123 citing Sacrosanctum concilium
The Sacraments of Initiation are those sacraments which bring us into full communion with the Catholic Church. Through the celebration of the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation our initiation into the Catholic Church is complete.
Through the Sacraments of Healing the Church continues Christ's work of healing and salvation. The sacraments of Reconciliation and Anointing of the Sick grant us strength as we encounter the difficult moments of life.
The Sacraments of Service are Holy Orders and Matrimony. Through these sacraments we partake in the salvation of others, serving their needs and guiding them towards Christ.
