"...by the sacrament of Confirmation, [the baptized] are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit."
Catechism of the Catholic Church 1285 citing Lumen Gentium
The sacrament of Confirmation is the celebration of the renewal of Baptismal promises by the young person, promises that were made by the parents at the time of Baptism. The young person now has the opportunity to confirm in his/her own life a desire to grow in holiness through the Catholic Church.
To confidently provide formation and prepare our students for the sacrament of Confirmation, Nativity offers preparation during the sophomore year of high school. Older students who have yet to celebrate this sacrament are welcome to join us.
"Faith formation is more than a subject to be taught ~ it is an invitation to a way of life."
~ Joe Paprocki
